Built Ford Tough Series, a sensational bull riding show brought to you by Professional Bull Riders is coming to the Frank Erwin Center!
Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is a bull riding organization formed in Scottsdale (Arizona) in 1992 by 20 professional bull riders. They wanted to break away from the confines of the rodeo format to make bull riding, the most popular of the seven events in traditional rodeo, a standalone sport and take it to major markets across the United States. The PBR selects the world’s best bull riding athletes and pits them against the toughest bulls in an 8 second man versus beast duel. Rides are judged based on both the rider's and the bull's performance, with two judges scoring the rider and two scoring the bull. Cowboys go head to head for the PBR World Champion title and a share of more than $10 million in prize money (including the $1 million year end bonus for the season’s best bull rider). The PBR has quickly garnered both domestic and international appeal and it now has more than 600 bull riders from the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada and Mexico as members. The events feature a rock concert environment, complete with pulsating music, explosive pyrotechnics, fast paced production, and are attended by more than 3 million people each season.
